Refugee Health Promotion Project (RHPP)
Refugee and Afghan Humanitarian Parole and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Mental Health Initiative
Sehat Initiative in partnership with PHI’s Cypress Resilience Project with funding from the California Department of Public Health, Office of Refugee Health (ORH), administers the Refugee Health Promotion Project (RHPP) Refugee and Afghan Humanitarian Parole and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Mental Health Initiative. The aim of this project is to build capacity and respond to the mental health needs of refugee and Afghan populations, including helping individuals newly arriving to the State of California to overcome stigma associated with mental health care. This mental health support is delivered through a client-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally and linguistically centered approach.
